JOHNNY B SAYS

This cycle, I ask that everyone observe a moment of silence in memory of manager Kevin DiFranco, who recently passed away.

Kevin hasn't been active in the game for the past few years, but he made quite a name for himself with an impressive run that began in the late '90s. He was a crucial member of such well-known stables as PRO, RAGE, USD, STORM, EB, ACE, UL, EDGE, and FOE. Our records only date back to 1998, but he won, at a minimum, two IWA World titles, four U.S. Championships and Diamond Federation straps, two Bronze Federation titles, one Jade Federation belt, three American honors, one Asiatic belt, two National and Pacific titles, four Dixie straps, one Central and Mountain belt, 12 World Tag-team honors (four were consecutive, and another was retained), four U.S. Tag straps, five World Six-man Championships, and two U.S. Six-man titles. And, of course, that says nothing of his many years of in-league dominance. He was definitely a force to be reckoned with, and a welcome addition to any faction with a desire for greatness.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Thank you, Kevin, for all the joy and camaraderie you shared with all of us while we were lucky enough to have you around.

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES -- engraved plaque

Joe Adams of Pennsylvania

It is with great pride that I take this time to recognize the newest inductees into the IWA Hall of Fame:

Glacier (UCW) 1,009-244-35, *8, $2,515,100
He retires as a multi-time singles champion, and formed a legendary six-man tag-team with co-inductees Torch and Inferno. He held multiple six-man tag-team championships. He enters the Hall with 1,009 wins to date, and leaves UCW in good hands, to carry on without him.

Inferno (UCW) 1,011-207-37, *7, $2,890,500
He retires as a multi-time singles champion, and was a member of a legendary tag-team with co-inductee Torch and a legendary six-man tag-team with Torch and co-inductee Glacier. Inferno will enter the prestigious Hall of Fame with 1,011 wins to date, leaving UCW to cheer from the TV.

Torch (UCW) 1,011-244-47, *9, $2,891,500
He also retires as a multi-time singles champion, and is the current reigning UCW West Coast Champion. He was part of a legendary tag-team with Inferno, and together they held multiple tag-team championships during their careers. He was a legendary six-man tag-team champion along with co-inductees Inferno and Glacier. Torch enters the Hall of Fame with 1,011 wins to date.

This gives their manager, Joe Adams, a total of six wrestlers who will remain honored in the great Hall. Joe must step away from the wrestling business for the time being, but if we know him, he will be back with another group just as tough and just as successful as the ones he has already led to the Hall of Fame.
